This Is About A Habitable Earth

Climate change is the most complex (wicked) problem that humanity has ever faced. To solve it, we need a global effort to restore our biosphere to a suitable state for all life.

Human activities have created the problem, and human cooperation can solve it.

GIVE EARTH A CHANCE - THE GAME

Let’s face it – we must improve at listening to and working with each other. Complex problem-solving requires both, plus a hefty dose of respect and civility. Our game uses age-old wisdom, creativity, and face-to-face interactions to help people become a community with a purpose.

Once that happens, the possibilities are endless.

The Objective

With limited time and an evolving local climate crisis situation, players must gain control by collaboration, utilizing the knowledge and wisdom readily available today.

The Goal

Survive 10 rounds by keeping the indicators green by avoiding the “Points of No Return” and the dreaded cascade effects.

Players

Players assume real-world roles guided by ecological knowledge, Indigenous wisdom, democratic principles, and progressive economics.

Challenge Cards

Determine the real-world climate-related issue that players must address.

Event Cards

Add unpredictability, requiring players to adapt strategies based on shifting conditions.

Tipping Point Cards

Triggering a system-wide cascade, you now face a final collective challenge.

Action Cards

Let players make impactful moves—shaping events, shifting metrics, and driving the game toward survival or collapse.
